POLYBUTADIENE (BR)
ABOUT BR
Polybutadiene (BR) is produced by chemically linking multiple butadiene molecules, resulting in large polymer chains. Cured polybutadiene rubber offers outstanding abrasion resistance and low rolling resistance.
Due to its inherent qualities, polybutadiene rubber is used in the production of multiple things, such as golf balls, tires, hose inner tubes, bridge blocks, railway pads, footwear, wire and cable insulation, and conveyor belts. Furthermore, it enhances the mechanical properties of plastics.
The extremely low glass transition temperature provides it with enhanced low-temperature performance when compared to other general-purpose rubbers.
Copolymers and terpolymers are available (with or without oil content).
APPLICATIONS/USES:
- Adhesives
- Tires
- HIPS manufacturing
